Once again, the F1 ACADEMY™ will be racing in the Netherlands in 2025. Just like this year Zandvoort will be the exciting stage during the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix (29-31 August). The Dutch round will be one of seven featuring the 2025 season, with three new venues announced.
Zandvoort will be the fifth stop of the series. The 2025 season kicks off in China, making its debut on the calendar. Joining other newcomers such as the iconic Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal and the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, where the third season of the all-female series will reach its conclusion in November.
Testing programme
F1 ACADEMY is an all-female single-seater racing championship founded by Formula 1, designed to prepare and develop female drivers for progression to higher levels of competition. Supported by all ten F1 teams, the series features one driver from each team, with their livery showcased on a dedicated car.
The 2025 season will feature 14 races across seven rounds, and as part of the series’ commitment to offer extensive seat time, the calendar will be supported by a comprehensive 15-day testing program. Since its launch in 2022, F1 ACADEMY has seen significant growth and global interest, with the series broadcast in 160 territories, and a Netflix docuseries set to be released in 2025.
Dutch drivers
Three Dutch drivers participated in the 2024 F1 ACADEMY Series at Zandvoort. Nina Gademan made most of her wildcard entry, leaving her mark on the series with an impressive seventh place finish. Maya Weug even finished third on the podium and currently holds third place in the championship standings. Unfortunately, Emely de Heus did not score any points for the standings. Hopefully, they will have new opportunities in 2025.
